dvbstreamer software package provides a console based streamer for DVB/ATSC service(s), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dvbstreamer
dvbstreamer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dvbstreamer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dvbstreamer *
You will get with dvbstreamer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
